4/5 yr old POA pony neglected and
abandoned. Not halter broke, not people friendly was a huge task to
get her loaded but surprisingly easy to trim. She isn't mean just
needs to learn to trust people. Here are the pictures when she
arrived... we believe that she was out in pasture since the front
hooves broke off. If she had been in a stall the front should have
looked like the backs.
9-07-Bandida is now out of quarantine she has a run in and round pen panels as she doesn't respect fencing. We catch her frequently - touch, love/scratch her work with pressure to move forward and relase when she takes a step forward -good girl- reward and you can see her mouth moving meaning she is thinking and learning :>) She still will not willingly come to me but she is much better. She is filling out in her rear and building muscle now that she is walking correctly. Below are updated pictures of her and you can see her touching my hand with her nose and allowing me to touch her face which is a sign of submission and surrender - making great strides. I would like to say thank you to Lorri who visits and spends time with Bandida helping to gentle her.
Bandida was transferred to Hideaway Hill Farm Horse and Animal Sanctuary she has her own page and is the spokes pony for Hideaway Hill Farm.
