Saddlebred mare Irish Eclipse #13396 foaled June 4th 1999 7 yr old -
papers and signed transfer. Note with mare stated broke to drive
traffic safe and sound, bred to a nice red stallion due to foal in
August 06 - no phone but there is an address so we will attempt to get
additional information. She had a bout of colic at the sale was treated
by the vet passed manure and he thought she would be ok but since she
did have a problem no one wanted to take a chance on this poor girl so
we did.... she will have another chance. Slaughter rescue. Vision loss
left eye.
5-9-06 good gut sounds and passing manure she is doing great! 5-24-06 no problems (with colic) this girl is an angel appears to be in foal every so slowly gaining weight. 6-1-06 vetted her, examined eyes, floated teeth and palpated. verified in foal. left eye has constricted pupil, no tapetal reflex (blind), right eye 360 degree neovascular edema, being treated with atropine, neopolydex and banamine 6-20-06 - re-examined last night she is now built up to 4 lbs of complete with grow n win supplement, alpha hay cubes and 2 flakes of hay 3 x's a day now we increase yet again to see if we can get the necessary weight on her prior to foaling. You can see the belly growing and weight starting to cover the ribs although they are still visable - topline and rear are still in great need. But baby is really growing!! Udder is starting to fill and milk vein is obvious. Unfortunately her eyesight is not responding to treatment and she seems to have lost vision in both eyes. She is very comfortable in her surroundings and is gentle, sweet and easy to handle even with this disability. She very much enjoys a roll in the fresh bedding you can see shavings in her mane lol. Say a prayer for her! 7-1-06 - Irish gave birth to a beautiful filly early this morning. The vet as called and a report will be posted after their visit. The previous owner informed us that the filly is a saddlebred/haflinger cross.
The final decision was to call the filly Justice because she was alive today beating incredible odds - auction, colic, being purchased for slaughter and death because of her mom's emaciated condition and being blind, she arrived in the short time we had before her birth ... Justice was served and life is celebrated.

Author Unknown.... Just up the road from my home is a field, with two horses in it. From a distance, each looks like every other horse. But if you stop your car, or are walking by, you will notice something quite amazing. Looking into the eyes of one horse will disclose that he is
blind. His owner has chosen not to have him put down, but has made a
good home for him. This alone is amazing. Irish and Justice go home...
From Ron and Kris.... their new
family....
We feel very special to be able to
give Irish a forever home .But she
never will be ours , Irish belongs
to all the people, that cried for
her,that prayed for her,that
sponsored her and especially the
people that rescued her. We promise
you ,that we will always keep in
mind how many people this horse is
loved by and how many horses Irish
represent that have been in the same
situation as Irish and not had
anyone like ANOTHER CHANCE 4 HORSES
to take care of them. We will check
in from time to time, to let all the
Irish and Justice fans know how they
are doing .If any of you ever want
to stop in call us Rick know where
to find us. We are only the new
guardians of these two ,much loved
horses. Thank you all for giving us
the opportunity to care for
them, because we truly feel ,that we
are the lucky ones.
Ron & Kris

and all the other people to know ,
that we are not taking on the care
for these horse without thought and
all that has gone into saving them.
You are my heroes and God Bless You.
I wish I had the strength to go into
these Auction Barns and see what you
