See AC4H Media Jennifer has a "head tilt" which is undiagnosed but doesn't cause her any problems. The head tilt isn't noticable when she is running or when grazing/eating nor does she exhibit neurological symptoms. She is sound at walk, trot and canter. 	12-22-11 - Standardbred gelding freeze brand W7448 in doing reseach W74481 came up and that tattoo matches horse named Best of Tarsio's foaled foaled 2000 - out of On the Road again - Tarsio's best - storm damage earned $57,132 Research on his past This poor boy had his tongue ripped in half, was in an accident while in a trailer and found himself enroute to a slaughter house in Canada. Despite all of that he still wants to perform for people! 	Jonah gaited gelding very gentle and kind been there done that kind of guy. He is approx 15 hands and late teens. He was dropped off at auction and was too thin to go through the ring. He was taken in has been quarantined and is now looking really good. He doesn't have a lot of sole - x-rays were done he does have mild rotation but as you can see he still enjoys riding and the only thing he needs is boots which he has and will go with him when he is placed. 	Tumbleweed - QH gelding early late teens or early 20's. I was at an auction when someone who saw me contacted AC4H and my owner offered to let me go $0 fee to the rescue and NOT go through the auction. Blood was pulled and everything looks good, the dentist said my teeth look good and the farrier trimmed my hooves. Now that he is up to weight evaluations show a well trained western horse who neck reins may have been used for team penning or roping - not a raw beginner horse and doesn't ride or act like 20 yr old. 	“Boggs” a beautiful thoroughbred gelding with a cute little heart on his forehead, how could we not love him! Boggs is very well bred, he by Theatrical out of a Devils Bag mare. He was bred in Kentucky by the same person who bred the very talented Exceller who tragically died in a Swedish slaughterhouse. We couldn’t let Boggs meet the same fate. Boggs last raced at Philadelphia Park in Sept. of 08’ and had been given to what was believed to be a good safe home. We were able to reach Boggs former owner who informed us that he was placed in what she thought was a good safe home, unfortunately there was no written contract or agreement in place. He almost fell through the crack. He is doing well and we will keep you updated on his progress. Bogg’s previous owner is unable to take him back, though she would’ve loved to have been able to do so. But she has offered to donate towards his rescue but to date we haven't received anything for him. We could really use some assistance for his quarantine and care as well as an angel. Sentimental Lisa & Spiritual Calling were owned by Michael Gill and trained by Murray Rojas Currently at her foster home she is enjoying trail rides :>) Note: Murray has reported that she will be filing a civil suit against party who signed agreement for the three horses. If not for AC4H going to broker lots and auctions these three probably would have slipped through the cracks. No funds were received or offered from Michael Gill or Murray Rojas for the saves conducted by AC4H and supporters. To date Murray Rojas has not filed a civil suit for the reportedly broken contract. 	Gypsy cob pony gelding Tolkien is sired by an imported gypsy cob stallion SMHC's Gypsy King and out of a mare SMHC's Molly One who is 1/2 shetland and 1/2 haflinger. Foaled 4-02-04. Application for registration. In doing research we found him on this website http://www.smhc.com/kingstolkien.html. We have contacted them to let them know. Apparently he was dispersed with a band of broodmares. Lara my daughter trained Tolkien he now does a wonderful walk, trot and canter and Selina is able to ride him English, Western or bareback. Will go through water and is a wonderful pony. Breeders - please protect your horses with an agreement. You put them on the ground you have a responsibility to keep them safe. pictures and video	Bo - Bay quarter horse approx 15 hands 15 yr old extremely well broke (Western) will go from standstill to canter, responds to cue's instantly and without hesitation he is a lot of fun with get up and go yet completely sensible and with a been there done that I will take care of you attitude. Excellent ground manners, gets along well with others, easy to catch, tack and handle all the way around. You do need to have a Western seat to ride this horse... he responds to legs, pressure and weigh so raw beginners are not a good match... so much fun to ride and he will go wherever you point him... he does have navicular its actually not the normal navicular its a bone growth off the navicular - he can be used for trails and as a companion. He has no frog and extremely contracted heels. 	Montiego Bay - AQHA gelding in his late 20's who has ringbone that has calcified over and arthritis. He served quite a bit of his life doing search and rescue even had an article written about him because he helped to save a 10 yr old child who went missing. When his owners could no longer financially afford him we took him in. He was adopted out but unfortunately the family went through a divorce and he was returned. 	Chica - 23 yr old ex broodmare has some serious trust issues must be sedated for trimming because she had some abuse in her past. Very quiet to ride at walk trot in ring not good on trails alone. 	Patti - Jenny donkey helped by donations through AC4H. Patti is a wonderful standard donkey mare or jenny who loves kids and attention super gentle and loveable. She has a huge personality and is a great companion and would be a great addition to any family. She gave birth to Sadie Mae a jenny who was the first long ear born at AC4H on 7-27. We believe Sadie Mae's sire was a mammoth donkey. Unfortunately Sadie Mae injured herself -presented by pointing her left hind toe forward - no trauma marks, swelling or heat presented - full x-rays were done even on her other side to compare growth plates. x-rays were clean palpation showed nothing and it looked like a soft tissue issue which should resolve in about a week or possibly an abscess although hoof when tested wasn't sensative... a week later with no improvement she was rechecked and a fracture in her pelvis was found. There were no treatment options. Sadie Mae was humanely laid to rest 10-8-09. We are devistated. RIP Sadie you will be always loved and never forgotten. “Boggs” a beautiful thoroughbred gelding with a cute little heart on his forehead, how could we not love him! Boggs is very well bred, he by Theatrical out of a Devils Bag mare. He was bred in Kentucky by the same person who bred the very talented Exceller who tragically died in a Swedish slaughterhouse. We couldn’t let Boggs meet the same fate. Boggs last raced at Philadelphia Park in Sept. of 08’ and had been given to what was believed to be a good safe home. We were able to reach Boggs former owner who informed us that he was placed in what she thought was a good safe home, unfortunately there was no written contract or agreement in place. He almost fell through the crack. He is doing well and we will keep you updated on his progress. Bogg’s previous owner is unable to take him back, though she would’ve loved to have been able to do so. But she has offered to donate towards his rescue but to date we haven't received anything for him. We could really use some assistance for his quarantine and care as well as an angel.

If not for AC4H going to broker lots and auctions these three probably would have slipped through the cracks. No funds were received or offered from Michael Gill or Murray Rojas for the saves conducted by AC4H and supporters.

To date Murray Rojas has not filed a civil suit for the reportedly broken contract. There were a total of 3 horses involved that went right to auction and sold to slaughter the day the contract was signed.

Gypsy cob pony gelding Tolkien is sired by an imported gypsy cob stallion SMHC's Gypsy King and out of a mare SMHC's Molly One who is 1/2 shetland and 1/2 haflinger. Foaled 4-02-04. Application for registration. In doing research we found him on this website http://www.smhc.com/kingstolkien.html. We have contacted them to let them know. Apparently he was dispersed with a band of broodmares.

Lara my daughter trained Tolkien he now does a wonderful walk, trot and canter and Selina is able to ride him English, Western or bareback. Will go through water and is a wonderful pony.

Breeders - please protect your horses with an agreement. You put them on the ground you have a responsibility to keep them safe. When your horse or breed shows up at kill pen - because it wasn't protected.... it originated with you and followed what you put into motion.

Green but willing and looking for guidance this young mare can go any direction. Suitable for Hunter, jumper, eventing or dressage she's is clean legged and sound. Just a really nice young mare that with a few months of good foundation training would be wonderful- should easily transition into a fantastic show horse! Donkey - approx 8 - 10 yr old white/grey gelding people friendly and loves attention :>) Donkey is a great companion to ponies, horses and long ears he loves everyone. He also educates visitors about long ears and coverts them to "long ear lovers" and that some cultures and countries like Spain like to eat donkeys for dinner! Mystery - a 4/5 yr old chestnut mare. When fundraising we had received additional funds to pull directly from the NY kill pen we asked the kill buyer to put another one on and that is how she got her name as we didn't know who we were getting it was a "Mystery".

Bo - Bay quarter horse approx 15 hands 15 yr old extremely well broke (Western) will go from standstill to canter, responds to cue's instantly and without hesitation he is a lot of fun with get up and go yet completely sensible and with a been there done that I will take care of you attitude. Excellent ground manners, gets along well with others, easy to catch, tack and handle all the way around. You do need to have a Western seat to ride this horse... he responds to legs, pressure and weigh so raw beginners are not a good match... so much fun to ride and he will go wherever you point him... he does have navicular its actually not the normal navicular its a bone growth off the navicular - he can be used for trails and as a companion.

John Spice - mini horse - pulled from a slaughter pen. It appears as though they just whacked off the toes and rounded them after a years of neglect. He has no frog and extremely contracted heels.

His rehabilitation was used for a clinical case study for farrier work and also to educate school children after they read the book written about him This little Horse didn't go to Market which you can see on the additional pic's page.

Montiego Bay - AQHA gelding in his late 20's who has ringbone that has calcified over and arthritis. He served quite a bit of his life doing search and rescue even had an article written about him because he helped to save a 10 yr old child who went missing. When his owners could no longer financially afford him we took him in. He was adopted out but unfortunately the family went through a divorce and he was returned. He will now live out the rest of his days with us.

Chica - 23 yr old ex broodmare has some serious trust issues must be sedated for trimming because she had some abuse in her past. Very quiet to ride at walk trot in ring not good on trails alone. She gets a little nervous out away from friends and will crow hop. Great with people who she trusts.

Patti - Jenny donkey helped by donations through AC4H. Patti is a wonderful standard donkey mare or jenny who loves kids and attention super gentle and loveable. She has a huge personality and is a great companion and would be a great addition to any family.

She gave birth to Sadie Mae a jenny who was the first long ear born at AC4H on 7-27. We believe Sadie Mae's sire was a mammoth donkey. Unfortunately Sadie Mae injured herself -presented by pointing her left hind toe forward - no trauma marks, swelling or heat presented - full x-rays were done even on her other side to compare growth plates. x-rays were clean palpation showed nothing and it looked like a soft tissue issue which should resolve in about a week or possibly an abscess although hoof when tested wasn't sensative... a week later with no improvement she was rechecked and a fracture in her pelvis was found. There were no treatment options. Sadie Mae was humanely laid to rest 10-8-09. We are devistated. RIP Sadie you will be always loved and never forgotten.
